Careers and Futures

Yesterday I started my day off with a few bug fixes, enemy movement, a critical array error, I made my second enemies spawn manager and spawn rate. I also started using custom sprites now that I learned how to use Unity’s in engine sprite editor. My game is coming along slowly and I am so excited to see my progress so far. I think in my final medium I will either build a web version of the game I have so far, or finally do a screen recording and post the video here.

Towards the middle of the day is when things got discouraging though. We finally had a meeting with Jonathan the founder of GameDevHQ, and we found out that this may be our last week of work unless the state approves us for more funding that will allow us to keep learning until March. So the second half of the day I spent learning more about “beyond unity” where other fields such as the automotive industry are using unity devs to model cars, or the film industry are using unity devs to make scenes in movies or shows. I also started updating my resume, and looking for means of other employment incase we lose this.
